Green Crescent Call for Artists

Green Crescent Call for Public Artists

The Green Crescent, part of the I-35W Transit/Access Project will be located just west of I-35 W, along Stevens Avenue. This one block area will provide a linkage for pedestrians and bicyclists, commuters and visitors between the new transit facility at Lake Street and the Midtown Greenway. The area will be bound on the east and west by highway retaining walls with pre-fabricated wave designs.

The City is seeking an artist/artist team to collaborate with the steering committee, community and community artists in creating public art for this project. Possible art opportunities include gateways or wayfinding artworks integrated into the space, pavement treatments on the pedestrian trail, artistic treatment of seat walls and a light installation.
